When buying a trampoline it is truly an investment. Your family will enjoy all the fun and benefits for years to come. There are two main reasons it is important to invest in a quality trampoline. The first is the safety of your family and secondly you want a trampoline that will be able to stand up to the elements for as long as possible.
A quality frame is important because it has to endure the weight load over time and last for years without rust or corrosion. Our frame is a thick walled 13 gauge, 55,000 psi steel. It is galvanized both inside and out to maintain complete rust resistance. Our frame is an eight piece design that is all slip joint. Cheaper trampolines are in as many as twenty pieces, the more pieces, the weaker the frame.
A quality mat is so important. You want one that can stand up in the weather, be fun to play on without being rough on the skin and most important, have a great bounce! We use a top quality calendared polypropylene that has a smooth surface to prevent burns and provide a safe comfortable jumping surface. We use a Dacron reinforced vinyl hem around our mat, and then stitch it with nine rows of 34-pound test thread to provide a stronger and longer lasting mat. We have a full five year warranty on every part of our mat including the stitching.
Not only do you want a spring to be able to stand up to the weather, but the springs determine how good your bounce will be. We use an 8.5” top quality spring that has a helical coil giving them a cone shape for superior bounce and durability. The springs are also galvanized before they are formed ensuring superior rust resistance and longer use.
The Safety Pad
A quality safety pad is essential. The safety pad is the part most affected by the elements and critical to a safe and fun jumping experience. You want one that has thick vinyl and constructed well to hold up to the sun and rain. It needs to have a dense foam to protect one from the frame and springs and it also needs to cover all of the springs. Our deluxe 13" wide safety pad is made of heavy 18oz. vinyl lined with two layers of ethafoam which is a closed cell foam that will not absorb water or mildew and provides a solid protection from the frame and springs. We also put polypropylene on the bottom for drainage to prevent rotting. The pad is skirted for a secure fit. This tough, thick pad also provides the jumper with comfort and safety when getting on and off the trampoline.
Our trampoline only takes 30 minutes to set up due to the slip joint design. Others can more than an hour!
